Book Character Parade

In August, our school will be celebrating Education Week by holding a Book Character Parade on Monday 4 August – Week 3. On this day we are asking the students to come dressed as their favourite book character for this special fun filled parade.

Over the next few weeks there will be discussion during library lessons to help students with ideas for their costumes, with the suggestion that some students may like to use their creative talents and make a costume.

The costumes do not need to be elaborate, or store purchased, simply finding things from home to put a costume together is very appropriate. There are plenty of ideas on Pinterest and Google if you need some inspiration. Below are some photos from previous parades.

Parents and family are invited to attend the parade which will be held on the K-2 site at 10 am.

We look forward to celebrating this literary event and seeing amazing book characters.
