Stage 2 were lucky enough to have a special visit from Constable Luca and Constable Schubert, our local Police Youth Liaison Officers. Their main topic of discussion was on the safe use of social media and the internet. Constable Luca briefly spoke about popular apps and age restrictions on such games. Another key message was about students being open and honest about their use of technology and the importance of always having a trusted, supervising adult around to call on if unfamiliar or untrustworthy content appears. They spoke about how to make safe choices when interacting online, especially if the programs they are using involve chat functions. Stage 2 students are now much more knowledgeable in the field of cybersafety.
