The National Curriculum mandates 21st Century learning for all schools across Australia. The introduction of 21st Century learning is focussed on helping students learn to be effective and independent lifelong learners in our modern and rapidly changing world. These skills are commonly known as the 5 Cs:

  • Communication
  • Collaboration
  • Critical Thinking
  • Creativity
  • Citizenship

As we enter a new era of education with the new National Curriculum, schools are challenged to assist students in engaging and energetic ways to develop their 21st Century learning skills. At Pennant Hills Public School, based on the Department of Education's current educational research, mobile devices present as a relevant, known and effective learning tool that help facilitate the development of 21st Century learning skills within our primary school classrooms.

Pennant Hills Public School has complete wireless access. Each classroom and learning space has a wireless access point to allow students to be engaged in their leaning at all times.

We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding education utilising technology as a tool, using laptops, iPads, interactive SMART Boards, a computer lab and in Stage 3, students' own devices. Our students are not servants to one particular platform- they use technology as a tool in order to enhance and demonstrate their learning.
