This term 4T children have been completing an author study on Roald Dahl. When creating our class display for the biannual Pennant Hills Public School Art Show we have chosen to take inspiration from one of his most famous works, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
First, each student created an illustration of their favourite character and scene from the factory. Then students designed Wonka packaging and confectionary using a variety of art and craft materials. The students did a fantastic job at creating and decorating the Oompa Loompas, and everyone enjoyed creating Lollypop flowers using acrylic paint, cardboard and crepe paper.
Students in 4M have been busy learning about the Australian artist Pro Hart. After learning about his life and work, they have explored various ways of recreating artworks of Australia's flora and fauna (influenced by Pro Hart's work) including sketching, water colours and painting.
