This term we have been learning about celebrations that various cultures have all over the world and researching the differences and similarities to our own. We were lucky enough to have many parents come into our classrooms and share some of their experiences and stories from cultures such as Chinese, Korean, Russian, Guinean, Sri Lankan and Indian. Students were able to see some traditional costumes, listen to traditional music, taste some food from different countries and ask questions about the cultures. Thank you so much parents for your sharing your culture with the students and the authentic learning experience. We even had Mr Pinchbeck tell us about his cultural background which is Aboriginal. Students were listening to his stories growing up and the rich history of Aboriginal people.
