Canteen

The school canteen is located on the 3-6 site, and provides a healthy variety of delicious and nutritious food for our children, at very reasonable prices.

The canteen complies with the DEC Fresh Tastes @ School Healthy Canteen Strategy and is nut free. Food for special diets such as gluten free or vegetarian is available.

The canteen’s over the counter sales allow students to purchase snacks such as popcorn, frozen fruit, ice blocks and other treats. This gives children an excellent chance to learn how to make cash purchases in a safe and controlled environment. We rely on a wonderful team of volunteers to perform this service, and therefore the hours of over the counter operations are subject to change if volunteers are unavailable. We aim to open 3 days per week at each site, with both sites being open on Fridays.

Location

The school canteen is located on the 3-6 site. Lunch is prepared onsite and available for collection during lunch time for students who have placed an order.

Students attending the K-2 site have access to the school canteen's services through lunch orders.  These lunches are prepared at the canteen and delivered to the K-2 campus at lunch time.

Canteen opening times

Lunch orders are available Monday to Friday. Order before 8:45am for lunch on the same day.

Recess orders are available Wednesday to Friday, on the 3-6 site only. Recess may also be purchased over the counter at the 3-6 campus on Fridays.

Order from our canteen

Lunch orders are placed online through Flexischools. The cut-off time for ordering is 8.45am for same-day orders.

1. If you do not have a Flexischools account, install the App by searching Flexischools through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play Store (Android). You can also visit the link  https://www.flexischools.com.au/
   
   Register an Account and create a new Student "Profile" with Flexischools. Enter each child that attends the school along with their class.
2. Once you have created a Flexischools account you can top up the "Wallet" or pay for orders as you go.
3. Click on "Order Food" to select the child's name and the day you would like to order. Orders can be placed at any time however the cut-off for same day orders is 8.45am. Should you miss the cut-off there is also a "LATE Lunch" service with limited items available, the cut-off of is 10am for same day orders.
4. Remind your child that they have an order! Your child's lunch can be collected from the labelled class basket at lunchtime from the canteen on both the K-2 campus and the 3-6 campus.
5. If you have pre-ordered lunch and your child is sick on the day, please log in and cancel the order prior to the cut-off time of 8:45am.

If your child leaves school early for any reason, please notify the canteen. Unfortunately, we cannot refund money for food which has already been prepared.

Any food not collected at lunchtime will be disposed of.]

Want to volunteer?

As always, please give some thought to helping out with lunchtime counter sales, for either site. We will always need a pool of volunteers, and as the saying goes: ‘Many hands make light work”.

Lunch is at 1pm. The K-2 canteen is open on Wednesdays and Fridays.

The 3-6 canteen is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
