Last Wednesday, our school was a hive of creativity as students let their imaginations run wild by coming dressed as curious creatures or book characters that had sparked their imagination. 

It was fabulous to see such a range of “creatures” from Albert Einstein to Alice in Wonderland!  All students are to be congratulated for participating in this Book Week celebration.  Such enthusiasm highlighted the joy that reading brings our students.

 

Many thanks to the students who donated a gold coin to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.  A “Great Book Swap” is normally held in Book Week to raise money for this fantastic organisation, however, due to COVID-19 this could not occur this year. In total $612 was raised on the day.

Once again, congratulations to all our creative “wild mind” students for participating in this fun event.
