Some programs that we have on offer at Pennant Hills Public School include:
- Evidenced based high impact teaching practices which include explicit teaching and differentiation of in-class teaching and learning programs to suit individual learning needs.
- STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) program for all students K-6.
- Music/ Drama program for all students K-6.
- Dance program for all students K-6.
- Literacy and Numeracy withdrawal groups for both students needing additional support and students requiring extension.
- Interest Groups. This program enables students to explore interest and possible talent and runs in Term 3 of each year. The following activities are an example of those on offer for the students to choose from: movie making, preschool visits, bowl weaving, water colour painting, stop motion animation, learn a language, crochet, engineering challenges, robotics, woodwork, drama/musical theatre, craft, netball, various sports, gardening, directed drawing, origami, air dry clay and mindfulness.
- SPECTRA (Science Program Exciting Children Through Research Activities). This science program runs each year for interested students in Stage 3 and allows students to research and present on an area on interest.
- Choir. There are 3 choirs operating within the school. They are taught by a specialist Music teacher. Currently there are approximately 160 students in this program.
- Public Speaking. In addition to in class programs all students in Years 3-6 participate in the Hills Public Speaking Competition.
- Student Leadership. Leadership opportunities are incorporated into all classrooms K-6. In Years 3-6 additional leadership opportunities are available via the ERC (Environmental Representative Council) and SRC (Student Representative Council). Within the Year 6 cohort additional leadership opportunities include school leaders (captains, vice captains and prefects), sport leaders and CAPA captains.
- Sport. A variety of in class programs and carnivals and PSSA.
- Band and String programs. Pennant Hills Public School has a Training Band, Intermediate Band, Concert Band and a Jazz Band. There is also a String Ensemble comprising of students who play a variety of string instruments – violin, viola, cello and double bass.

Our P&C fund additional learning and support programs, staff undergo comprehensive training in student mental health, and we have Teddy, our educational support dog!
